Summer 2024 Intern
Emerson O’Leary is a student at Princeton University and a member of the school’s women’s hockey team majoring in Public and International Affairs, an interdisciplinary program that integrates politics, economics, sociology, and history to address complex public policy issues and train students to create effective solutions.
Her history with the Corey C. Griffin Foundation dates back to high school, where she tutored and mentored middle school students from the Boston Public Schools through the Achieve Program at Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, Mass.
This summer, Emerson is supporting the Boston Police Activities League, a Foundation’s partner program, by planning outreach events and contributing to fundraising efforts. She cites her experience as a hockey player in using athletics to engage young people. “I love giving back to kids through sports, using my athletic background to inspire and support youth in developing their own skills and confidence.”
