BOSTON, MA— Karen and Rob Hale, through their family foundation, Fox Rock Foundation have awarded the Corey C. Griffin Foundation with a $1 million gift for “Corey’s Kids” programs. The grant will benefit youth from under-resourced communities in the Boston area.
Fox Rock Foundation is a private family charitable foundation overseen by philanthropists Karen and Rob Hale. Rob is a business leader and Boston Celtics co-owner. Their Foundation recently announced its 52-week giving plan and selected the Corey C. Griffin Foundation as one of its major gift recipients.
Being from Boston, the Hales appreciate the focus on helping local children. As Karen explained, “At it’s core, the Corey Griffin Foundation is anchored in an unwavering belief that every child deserves an opportunity to succeed. Their Corey’s Kids programs see to that, and we are enthusiastic to support those initiatives that help Boston kids not only achieve but thrive.”

Griffin Foundation. “This million-dollar grant will change the trajectory of the lives of at-risk kids on a daily basis and will enable us to expand our mission through strategic partnerships with leading educational and healthcare institutions. The impact of the grant will be used across multiple “Corey’s Kids” programs, focusing on healthcare equity and extended-stay patient family housing, access to high quality education, and youth character building programs.
Efforts to impact children will take huge strides thanks to this legacy gift.
